NEBOSH Certificate Course Contents

Our NEBOSH course content is unitised. Each part of the NEBOSH course is taught as a concise element. For example NG1 is broken down into four key learning elements.

Our NEBOSH course presentation materials also match the delegate handout materials. we have designed our NEBOSH course to ensure a minimal amount of 'note taking', allowing delegates to listen, learn, discuss, ask questions and contribute their own thoughts and ideas. We feel this is even more important with the course being delivered online via Zoom.

The NEBOSH National General Certificate consists of two taught units NG1 and NG2:

NEBOSH NG1: Management of health and safety; comprising of:

1 Why we should manage workplace health and safety.

2 How health and safety management systems work and what they look like.

3 Managing risk – understanding people and processes.

4 Health and safety monitoring and measuring.

NEBOSH NG2: Risk Assessment; comprising of:

5 Physical and psychological health Practical assessment.

6 Musculoskeletal health.

7 Chemical and biological agents.

8 General workplace issues.

9 Work equipment.

10 Fire.

11 Electricity.

The NEBOSH practical assessment is undertaken in the delegates own workplace, it takes the form of a risk assessment. If you do not have access to a workplace, it is still possible to complete the risk assessment, and we will advise you how.

The purpose of the NEBOSH practical assessment is to assess if you can apply the knowledge gained during the course. It is anticipated that following two weeks of studying health and safety that you will be able to identify hazards and apply control measures to improve health and safety. The aim of this unit is to assess a candidate’s ability to successfully undertake a risk assesment in their own work environment.
